Personal highlights for Niykee include getting selected to be part of Snoop on the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013 and composing songs in spite of the chaos over the last few years. Niykee is an enduring magnet to producers just beginning their careers. A lot of beats she hears from producers spark songs. Within 5 seconds, I can tell the quality of a song or not. Then I get an idea of an original song, and start writing the lyrics immediately. I get the words while I'm sitting on my patio, playing my guitar. It usually takes under thirty minutes. Niykee's past pain provides constant motivation as she grows as an author. Even when she's not composing about events that are actually happening the pain due to her childhood and the losing her younger sister find it's way into her music. It influences my music and provides it with a deeper significance, something I consider extremely important. I would like to be able to hear my music in the next 20 years and feel proud of my words.
