Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th in 1967. Julia Fiona Roberts is the fourth generation of Roberts living in Atlanta. Her father was interested in theatre from a very young age. As a student in Emory University he appeared in diverse productions, both at and off campus. Following his air force service In 1953, he starred in an airforce production in Biloxi along with Betty Lou Bredemus. They married in 1955. Their son, Eric Anthony, was born in the year 1956. The couple divorced in 1957. the Air Force and Walter enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter was recruited as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to be a part of the production team for Bum Bum and His Buddies. The show was filmed in Decatur Georgia. Walter along with Betty Lou began producing a children's TV show in the city of Decatur, Georgia titled Bum Bum and His Buddies. They financed the production by themselves. They also created a six-year Actors and Writers Workshop later in the year. They welcomed in 1965 two new children: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
