Dua Lipa the English artist and singer was born in London on 22 August 1995. After doing work as a fashion model before joining Warner Bros Records and release her first album. The album reached number third on the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles including Be the One I.D.G.A.F as well as her U.K. number-one single New Rules which reached number 6 in the United States. Lipa received The Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act and her album was certified platinum across several countries around the world. Dua Lipa was is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on the 22nd of August, 1995. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. She can trace her ancestors all the way back to Peja, which was a city within Kosovo. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by music through her father, the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan rock band Oda. At home her father continued to play music including his own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at the age of five. In the year she turned nine, she started singing at The Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa recorded If I Ain't You You with Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. Lipa received the recording contract from Warner Bros. Records in 2014. In August 2015 the debut track of hers New Love came out.
